DSP Nurse Kris: Your Daily Dose

DSP Patty of Idaho ~ wonders if cavities really can be contagious?

You better believe it– and it may just start when we first kiss a baby!
To create a cavity, you need bacteria.  That bacteria comes from sharing things like a kiss, food, spoons, forks, a sneeze– pretty much anything that causes you to swap spit with another person.
No matter what you eat, cavities won’t form without  bacteria. Food + bacteria = plaque, and we all know what plaque causes– cavities!
